Born in Grand Rapids, 1984, I attended Kendall College of Art and Design 2003-2007 where I studied traditional illustration techniques. I started freelancing just before graduating and have worked for a small number of clients since then. The real-world experiences have made me realize how much I still have to learn. Making pictures is what I love to do, and I’m trying every day to become better at it. The Visual Literacy Program of the Illustration Academy will be my next source of education and hopefully a long-term connection to the business of illustration and illustrators alike.
